ADOPTION
REQUIREMENTS
 You are aware
that dogs can live 15-20 years and require a
long-term commitment.
You must have
full knowledge of all household members of decision to adopt.
You must be
21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
You agree to
have a background, renter, and veterinarian check completed on each
adult.
You agree to
complete the adoption application as completely and truthfully as
possible.
You agree to
have home visit conducted after your foster-to-adopt period concludes.
You
understand that Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue must approve your application
prior to being allowed to meet a dog.
You
understand that Tailwaggers 911 Dog Rescue is committed to finding
furever homes for our dogs and we
take pride in finding the best match possible for them. This means that
we do not take applications on a first-come-first-serve
basis, but we carefully evaluate each applicant and home environment.
Although you are interested in a certain dog,
he/she may not be the dog for you. We are firm believers that the dog
chooses his/her family. We understand this can
be a frustrating process for some, but we are committed to our dogs now
